What is the best kind of potting soil for herbs?
Hi, I received a Chia Herb Garden for Xmas and my herbs are outgrowing their pots. This is my first attempt at an herb garden and I was wondering what kind of potting soil would be best? These herbs will be grown indoors. Thanks for any info!
Hi,
Herbs will grow in any good garden soil. The soil should not be extremely acid or alkaline, a soil nearly netural is best for most herbs. You need a pH reading between 6.5 and 7.0/ This seems to work best for me. If you are growing you herbs in pots, use a mix of about two parts potting soil to one part coarse sand or perlite

The best potting soil to use to plant your flowers and herbs in my opinion is Miracle Grow. They have a potting mix you can use for indoor and outdoor container plants. Plus many other products to get your hands dirty in your home or garden. Learn more about growing herb plants in containers in the links below.
